What We’re Doing at Green Tree Mall

The center has implemented new lighting protocols that allow us to minimize our energy use and lower our carbon footprint without any impact on the shopping experience.

Green Tree Mall has a Recycling Program in the Management Office. We have specific trash cans for plastic and metal and all paper used in the office as well as newspapers and magazines are picked up once a week by Easy-Recycle, a local Recycling Company that Green Tree Mall has partnered with.

The Operations Department has created specially designed trash cans for recycle materials, and they are available for all retailers.

Green Tree Mall has two kinds of compactors available for retailers, one for cardboard only and another for non-recycle trash.

Green Tree Mall has saved on lights in the mall and management office, using more natural light during the day without any impact on the shopping experience.

Some of our retailers now offer shoppers the option of reusable bags.
